Pat Westby from the Dayton Gem & Mineral Society will be demonstrating the art of making Lampwork Beads each day and teaching small classes on Friday & Saturday evenings
Basic Glass Bead Making
Learn the basics of making glass beads. After short language of lampworking intro a basic round bead will be demonstrated. You will then have time to make a couple of basic round beads. Then a quick and easy decorating technique will be thrown in. Choose from some proven color combos and you should have a set of beads that can be made into a necklace. All this in three hours! All materials, torch rental, etc is included in the class fee. You just need to wear long cotton pants, cotton shirt and closed toed shoes. Also tie back any long hair.
All inclusive cost is $40 per person. Limited to six persons.

Beginning to intermediate level. Come with questions or bring pictures of beads or tutorials you’ve seen and I’ll help you work through it. All this in three hours!
